Last month I had the chance to meet up with five of my old roommates for a girls weekend and roommate reunion in Vegas. Being a group of Mormon moms, it probably wasn't a typical "Vegas" weekend, but we had a blast!

Friday night we stayed up late chatting, looking through Erin's enormous scrap books, and reminiscing on our BYU days. On Saturday we took advantage of the warm weather and spent the morning relaxing by the pool. That afternoon we headed to a nearby outlet mall for a little shopping.

Even though we were all enjoying a weekend away from our children we somehow ended up only shopping at children's stores! Here's Erin & Mikael at the Carter's outlet. |
Saturday night we had a nice dinner at El Segundo Sol at the Fashion Show Mall before heading over to Treasure Island to see Cirque du Soleil's Mystere. I had never seen a Cirque show before and I was totally amazed by the incredible acrobatics. Afterwards we walked down the strip to see the Bellagio fountains and then made a stop at Serendipity to sample their frozen hot chocolate.

Everyone had to head back home on Sunday morning/afternoon so it was a really quick weekend. I think we were all wishing we had at least one more day, but hopefully we'll be able to pull something like this off again soon! And a big thanks to Charlie for staying home with Isaac that weekend. Apparently they had plenty of fun without me.
