Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Charlie and to his twin brother Chris!

In celebration of Charlie's birthday we decided to go out to Palm Springs for a night. Because it is so hot out there in the summer, the hotel rooms are super cheap. We got a great deal on a room at a 4 star resort where we spent the evening relaxing in our "heavenly bed" and enjoying the A/C. This morning we slept in, ordered room service, and then stopped at the outlets on our way back home. We had a fun little trip and now it is time to eat cake!

I must say that you don't score with a hotter husband than Carrie and I! I like this picture. What a couple of cute guys. I'm glad you guys had a fun time in a pampering 4 star resort while we heard little mice scurrying through our cabin and I got to hook lots of worms for fishing. Nah, we had a great time too.

Carrie, I just had to respond to the posting you put on my blog. Maybe it was because it was late at night, but I was busting out laughing hysterically at your dumpster story! That is definitely worse than our experience because we only had to do it for about 15 minutes. Not two hours!!! You are a true trooper. I would make my whole family dig in a dumpster over a lost retainer too. I didn't hear the conclusion to the story though....did you find the retainer? Which sister was it that threw it away? We can't wait to see you guys in just two more days! Fly and Drive safely.

What a fun getaway! Did you like those outlets? Definitely let me know when you get Disneyland passes! We first got ours when Emma turned one and she has loved it from the beginning so Isaac is at a good age. It would be so fun to have you come along!
